Yurii Fedorovych Zlyden was a Ukrainian painter, a member of the Union of Soviet Artists of Ukraine from 1961. He was born on May 15, 1925 in the village of Zachepylivka (now Kharkiv region, Ukraine). He participated in World War II and was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War, 1st degree. From 1946 to 1951, Zlyden studied at the Dnipropetrovsk Art School under Tamara Drozdova, Mykola Pohribniak, and Nataliia Hlukhenka. From 1952-1966, he lived in Zhdaniv (now Mariupol), then in Kyiv. He worked in the field of easel painting, mainly in the landscape genre. From 1951, he participated in regional and republic exhibitions. His personal exhibitions were held in Zhdaniv (1958), Kyiv (1985), and Rzhyshchiv (1988). His main works include "Summer Day in Zhdaniv" (1958), "Shevchenko Village" (1961), "Yachts" (1963), "Over the Dnipro" (1968), and others. He died in Kyiv on April 26, 2001. His works are kept in many museums of Ukraine: the Ternopil Museum of Local Lore, the Ochakiv and Zaporizhia Art Museums, the Pereyaslav National Historical and Ethnographic Reserve, the Mariupol Museum of Local Lore (exhibited in the A.I. Kuindzhi Art Museum), and others.

At the top right edge there is slight deformation of the canvas. The right hand has a number of small cracks in the center. There is a passport sticker on the back of the canvas, along with a paper sticker.

To the right of the center of the painting, there is a ribbon of the river extending into the depth of the image. In the foreground, on the right and left, two hills are cut off by the edges of the frame. On the left, houses are visible, nestled in greenery; to the right of the river, there is a green meadow, several trees, and behind them, ploughed fields. In the lower left part of the image, the artist’s signature in red reads: "Yu. Zlyden 58."
