Birutė Janina Grasilda Žilytė-Steponavičienė was a Lithuanian illustrator and graphic artist. Born on June 2, 1930, she was a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR and a Laureate of the State Prize of the Lithuanian SSR. She was awarded the Honorary Diploma of the International Council for Children's Books (1976) and the "Golden Apple" BIB-69. She created illustrations for the books "There Stands a Fairy-Tale House" (K. Kublinskas), "The Tale of the Brave Maiden of Vilnius and the Robber Green Beard" (A. Lebit), and "Egle - the Queen of Grass Snakes" (S. Neris).
