Viktor Ivanovych Matiushenko was a Ukrainian painter. He was born on June 5, 1925 in the city of Katerynoslav (now Dnipro). He graduated from the Dnipropetrovsk Art School (1951), where his teachers by profession were M. Panin and M. Pohrebniak. Matiushenko worked in the field of easel painting. A member of the Union of Soviet Artists of Ukraine from 1969, he participated in republic exhibitions (starting in 1960). His main works include “Spring” (1960), “Beyond the Dnieper” (1961), “Spring Morning”, “On the River of Dreams” (1967), and others. His works are presented in museums in Ukraine. Matiushenko lived and worked in Dnipropetrovsk. He died on November 29, 1984.
