Askhat Hazyzulinovych Safarhalin was a Ukrainian painter. He was born on August 8, 1922 in the village of Stare Kurmashevo (Tatarstan). He graduated from the Kazan Art School (1947) and the Kharkiv Art Institute (1953). His teachers by specialty were O. Kokel, T. Kotov, M. Rybalchenko, L. Chernov. He worked in the field of easel painting. His main works include “Vacations” (1954), “Letter” (1957), “Swineherds” (1960), “Student Spring” (1961), “Harvest” (1963), “Nurse” (1965), “May Rain” (1967), “Labor Semester” (1968), “Unharness the Horses, Guys..” (1969). Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR starting in 1958. Participated in exhibitions: republic - starting in 1953, all-Union - starting in 1957. Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (1968). His works are presented in state and private collections of Ukraine and abroad. Lived and worked in Kharkiv and died on August 26, 1975.

In the foreground is a bank flooded by a flooded river, a narrow strip of green land, thin trees, including a flowering willow bush. In the background are the opposite bank of the river and trees. In the lower left corner there is the author's signature and date.
