Oleksandra Mykolaivna Yakobson was a graphic artist-illustrator, artist of monumental painting. Born on May 20, 1903 in Irkutsk (now Russia). In the 1920s she studied at the Irkutsk Art Workshop-Studio under I.L. Kopylov. She performed works for the Children's State Publishing House. She illustrated folk tales, works by Pushkin, Lermontov, Aksakov, Shishkov, Marshak and other writers. She participated in art exhibitions. From the 1950s to 1960s she created a cycle of autolithographs "Novgorod Region". She died on September 17, 1966. Some of the artist's works are kept in museums in Russia, Ukraine and other countries.
