Ivan Mykhailovych Shutiev was a Ukrainian painter. Born on October 28, 1933 in Uzhhorod. Graduated from the Uzhhorod School of Applied Arts (1955). His teachers were A. Erdeli, Yu. Bokshai. Worked in the field of easel painting. Landscape and still lifes painter. Participant of regional, republic and all-Union exhibitions starting in 1957, international plein airs and foreign exhibitions starting in 1968. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (1962). People's Artist of Ukraine (2004). His main works include "The Beginning of Spring" (1956), "Winter in the Uzhok Valley" (1960), "Verechansky Pass" (1967), "March", "Old Village" (1969), and others. His works are kept in museums and private collections in Ukraine and abroad. Lived and worked in Uzhhorod. Died on September 23, 2019.
