Oleksandr Oleksandrovych Agafonov is a Ukrainian artist, painter, graphic artist, sculptor, and a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1974. He was born on 2 February 1947 in Kyiv and graduated from the Kyiv State Art Institute in 1971. His professional mentors included L. Chychkan, I. Selivanov, V. Kasiian, and S. Tolkachov. He participated in regional (since 1963) and international (since 1963) art exhibitions. His solo exhibitions were held in Kyiv (1992, 1994, 1995, 1999). Among his works are "Time to Embrace" (1997), "Beauties" (1998), "D Major" (1998), "Golden Cage" (2001), and others. His works are held in the collection of the National Art Museum of Ukraine (Kyiv), the Kyiv History Museum, the National Museum in Lviv, and many other museums across Ukraine.
