Ivan Fedosiiovych Dziuban was a Ukrainian and Soviet painter, graphic artist, and monumentalist. He was an Honored Artist of Ukraine and a member of the Union of Artists of the Ukrainian SSR. Born on February 2, 1923 in the village of Kostyantynivka, Donetsk province, he entered the Luhansk Art School in 1937 and graduated in 1947. In 1949-1955, he studied at the Kyiv Art Institute as a poster artist. His teachers were V. Kasiian, I. Pleshchynskyi, and M. Khmelko. Dziuban's creative heritage includes both poster works of the Soviet period, in which he realized himself as a poster artist, and painting. From 1974, he was an Honored Artist of Ukraine and a member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine. I. Dziuban’s paintings were exhibited at numerous all-Union, republic, and international exhibitions, in particular at the XXX Biennale in Venice in 1960. His main works include "Glory to the Heroes of Perekop" (1955), "We Grew up in Flames, in Gunpowder Smoke" (1957), "A Wider Step Into Our Fields, Corn Crops" (1959), "Let the Golden Glory of the Farmer Shine" (1967), ceramic panels, and others. The artist's works are presented in many museums and private collections in Ukraine and abroad. He lived, worked and died in Kyiv in 2008.
