Tymofii Andriiovych Liashchuk was a Ukrainian painter and graphic artist. Born on March 24, 1930 in the village of Obolon, Poltava region, he studied at the Kyiv State Art Institute from 1951 to 1957 under V. Kasiian. He was a member of the Union of Artists of the Ukrainian SSR (1958). Liashchuk worked in the field of easel painting and graphics and was a master of political and advertising posters. From 1959 to 1972, he was the editor-in-chief of the editorial board of the "Agitposter of the Union of Artists of the Ukrainian SSR". He was a participant of all-Union and foreign art exhibitions since 1957. His main works include "Oksana with a Flower" (1974), "Roars and Moans..." (1991), "Portrait of a Mother" (1999), "Anxiety" (1999), and "Konotop Pogrom" (2001). His works are represented in museum and private collections in Ukraine and abroad. Liashchuk lived and worked in Kyiv. He died on July 13, 2015.
