Liudmyla Ivanivna Ponomariova was a Ukrainian artist and a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine from 1992. Born on November 13, 1939 in the village of Shakhta No. 6 "Chervona Zirka" of the Donetsk region, she graduated from the M. Horky Palekh Art School (1966), where her teachers in the specialty were N. Zinoviev, V. Astakhov, and B. Kukuliiev. Ponomariova worked in the field of decorative and applied arts and easel and monumental-decorative painting. Her main works include "Second Time" (1973), "Self-Portrait" (1974), "Bread of the Motherland" (1974), "Wedding Chests" (1977), and the painting "Youth. Exam Time. Song" (1982). She was a participant of city, regional, all-Ukrainian, and foreign exhibitions. Her works are in museums of Ukraine and in private collections in Ukraine, Italy and other countries. She died in autumn 2018 in Mariupol.
