Karen Drastomatovych Bahdasarian is a Ukrainian painter and a member of the Union of Soviet Artists of Ukraine since 1970. He was born on 23 November 1929 in the village of Oshakan (now Aragatsotn Province, Armenia). Between 1946 and 1950, he studied at the Yerevan Art College, and in 1950–1951 at the Moscow Art College (under Oleksandr Sakhanov and Vasyl Baksheiev). He worked in the field of easel painting, focusing on genre compositions, portraits, and landscapes. He began participating in republic and all-Ukrainian exhibitions in 1967. Among his works are "In the Mountains of Armenia" (1967), "In the Carpathians" (1969), "Lake Sevan" (1975), and others. His works are held in the collections of the Exhibition Directorate of Ukraine, the Lesia Ukrainka Museum in Kyiv, the Taras Shevchenko National Museum, and other museums across Ukraine.
