Yevhen Nisonovych Levin was a Ukrainian painter. Born on April 1, 1922 in Kharkiv, he graduated from the Kharkiv Art Institute (1949), where his teacher by profession was D. Shavykin. He worked in the field of easel painting, creating portraits, historical and battle paintings, and still lifes in a realistic style. His main works include "The Voice of the World" (1951), "Victory at Korsun" (1954), "We Will Build Our New World..." (1963), "Heroes of Labor" (1967), and others. He participated in exhibitions: republic since 1949, all-Union since 1950, foreign since 1951. He lived and worked in Kharkiv and died on January 1, 1993.

Preservation:
Contamination over the entire surface of the canvas. At the top there are small dents and swellings of the paint layer. In the image of the T-shirt and trousers there are dark red stains and splashes, possibly the author's.

In the left hand there is a cigarette, in the right hand there are mittens. The general color is reddish. Below, on the left, the author's signature and date: 59.
