Mykhailo Tryfonovych Dzharty was a Ukrainian Soviet artist who left a notable mark on the artistic life of the Donbas. He was born on November 6, 1917 in the village of Velyka Karakuba (now the village of Rozdolne, Starobeshiv district, Donetsk region). He graduated from the Mariupol Studio of Fine Arts (1934) and fine arts courses at the House of Folk Art (Stalino, now Donetsk, 1939-1941). Starting in 1953, Dzharty worked in the Donetsk Cooperative of Creative Artists, and in 1964, at the painting studio of the Donetsk branch of the Art Fund of the Ukrainian SSR. He worked in the field of easel painting and painted thematic paintings, portraits, landscapes and still lifes. Starting in 1949, he participated in regional and republic exhibitions. At his first regional exhibition, he made his debut with the painting “The Collective Farm Shepherd”, where he received the first prize. Dzharty was the founder of a famous dynasty of artists in Donbas. He lived and worked in Donetsk and died in 1991.

The cardboard is badly warped and torn in the lower right corner. In the middle of the picture there is a vertical crack in the cardboard with the loss of the color layer at the bottom.
