Anatolii Havrylovych Bondarenko was a Ukrainian artist, painter, graphic artist, and master of decorative and applied arts. Born on January 1, 1935 in the village of Yekaterynivka, Kherson region, he graduated from the Uzhhorod Art School of Applied Arts in 1966, where he studied under P. Balla, Sh. Petki, M. Popovych, I. Harapko, and V. Svyda. From 1972 to 1992, Bondarenko worked in Mariupol at the Azovstal plant as a glass and crystal artist. At the same time, he led drawing, painting, decorative and applied arts study groups in the factory club of young technicians. He participated in city, regional, republic, and all-Ukrainian exhibitions. Among his works are the icon "Theotokos" (1997), the Panagia "Jesus Christ" (2011), the metal frame "Lesya Ukrainka" (2011), and others. He passed away in 2021. His works were in the Mariupol Museum of Local Lore and in private collections in Ukraine and abroad.
