Liudmyla Tymofiivna Dzhus is a Soviet, Ukrainian, and Russian artist. She is a Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (1973), an Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (1990), and People's Artist of Ukraine (1995). Born on August 2, 1944 in the village of Tetyukhe, Primorsky Krai (Russian Federation), starting in 1959, she studied at the M.S. Samokysh Crimean Art School, where she met her future husband Stepan Dzhus. In 1970, she graduated from the Kharkiv Art and Industrial Institute, Department of Monumental and Decorative Painting, where she studied under professors E.P. Yegorov, O.A. Khmelnytskyi, and B. Kolesnyk. Since the early 1970s, the Dzhus family fulfilled state orders for the interior design of government residences on the southern coast of Crimea. They decorated the interiors of the Crimean sanatoriums "Marat", "Mishor", "Ai-Petri", "Chornomorye", and "Gurzuf", and made tapestries for administrative buildings in Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhia. Her works are kept in museums and private collections in Ukraine, Russia, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Japan, Canada, and the USA. Since 1950, she has lived and worked in Yalta.
