Yurii Oleksiiovych Zviozdkin was an artist, a master of the landscape and portrait. Born in Moscow in 1928, he graduated from the Moscow Secondary School of Arts (1948). From 1948-1951, he studied at the I. Yu. Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture under R.R. Frentz. His famous paintings include “Early Snow”, “In a Sleigh”, “Village”, and others. Zviodzkin died in 1994 in Moscow.

Original. From the lower right corner of the painting, a strip of river stretches, receding into the depth of the composition. To the left of it is a slope with bare young trees. In the background, a dark band of forest runs along the horizon. The overall colour scheme of the painting is greyish-green. In the lower right corner, the signature reads: "Zviozdkin. 74".
