Mykola Antonovych Maksymenko was a Soviet Ukrainian painter. He was born on December 31, 1924 in the village of Yaropovychi (now Zhytomyr region). His teachers by profession were I. Hrabar and B. Dekhtiarov. Maksymenko worked in the field of easel painting and was a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR (1960). He participated in exhibitions starting in 1957. His main works include "Gifts of Autumn" (1963), "Tamed Black Grouse" (1964), "Polish Motif" (1966), "Relics", and "Bread" (1967). The artist's works are kept in state and private collections of Ukraine and abroad. Maksymenko lived and worked in Zhytomyr. He died in Zhytomyr on September 11, 2016.
