Ivan Pavlovych Lysenko is a Soviet Ukrainian painter. Born on March 25, 1932 in the village of Zolota Balka, Novovorontsov district, Kherson region, he graduated from the Kyiv State Art Institute in 1967, where he studied under teachers P. Basanets, V. Kostetskyi, and V. Puzyrkov. A member of the Union of Artists of the Ukrainian SSR (1974), he created genre compositions, portraits and still lifes in a realistic style. He was a participant in all-Ukrainian art exhibitions starting in the 1970s. His personal exhibitions were held in Kyiv (1974). He lives and works in Kyiv. His works are presented in state and private collections of Ukraine and abroad. His main works include "Memoirs" (1971), "Ore Pit" (1974), "Students on Winter Vacation" (1987), "Carpathian Spruces" (1990), and "Old Kyiv on the Princely Mountains" (1999).
