Viktor Andriiovych Korolchuk was a Ukrainian painter of Belarusian origin and a member of the Union of Soviet Artists of Ukraine since 1966. Born on April 29, 1933 in Brest (Belarus), starting in 1947 he was a student of an artist at the Drama Theater. In the same year, he received the first prize at the All-Union Exhibition of Amateur Artists. From 1958-1961, he studied at the M. Grekov Rostov Art School, where he studied under Oleksandr Chernykh, and Arkadii Martyrosov. From 1962 to 1969, he worked in the art fund in Kryvyi Rih, then in Dnipropetrovsk (now Dnipro). From 1983, he lived and worked in Kyiv. He worked in the field of easel painting (in the techniques of oil painting and pastels), creating landscapes, still lifes, and genre paintings. Among his works are "New Mine" (1964), "On Baikal" (1966), "Awakening" (1988), "Polissya" (1994), "Summer" (2001), and others. Since 1962, he participated in all-Ukrainian and all-Union exhibitions and held personal exhibitions in Dnipropetrovsk (1979) and Kyiv (1985). His works are kept in museums in Belarus, Russia, and Ukraine. He died on September 30, 2015 in Kyiv.
