Young Soccer Players

Oleksii Pavlovych Solodovnikov was a Ukrainian painter. He was born on September 24, 1928 in the village of Tokarevo, Yaroslavl region. From 1943 to 1948 he studied at the Yaroslavl Art School. He graduated from the Kyiv Art Institute (1955). His teacher by profession was S. Hryhoriev. He worked in the field of easel painting. He participated in exhibitions starting in 1951. Member of the Union of Artists of the Ukrainian SSR starting in 1961. Master of genre painting. His main works include "In the Casemate" (1961), "In the Park of T. G. Shevchenko, Kyiv" (1961), "By Order of the Tsar. To the Soldiers" (1964), "Letter" (1965), "Turbulent Years" (1967). His works are presented in museum and private collections in Ukraine and abroad. He lived and worked in Kyiv and died in 2017.
