Volodymyr Fedosiiovych Yatsenko was a Ukrainian artist, master of landscape, author of art history works. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (1960). Born on April 21, 1915 in the village of Savkivka (now Cherkasy region, Ukraine). Studied at the Kharkiv Art College (1937) and the Kharkiv Art Institute (1942, class of M. Samokysh). In 1944 to 1952 - director of the Kharkiv Art Museum, in 1970 to 1989 - director of the State Museum of Ukrainian Fine Arts in Kyiv. He worked in the field of genre and landscape painting. He participated in numerous art exhibitions. Among his works are "Above the Dnipro" (1957), "On Chernecha Hill" (1960), "New Buildings in Kyiv" (1965), "Wind" (1969), "Summer Day" (1970) , and many others. The artist's works are kept in some museums in Ukraine. He died on October 23, 2010 in Kyiv.

In the foreground there is the edge of a forest with birch trees. The ground is covered with snow, which has melted in some places. The sky is bright blue. Bottom right - signature of the author and date.
