Heorhii Heorhiiovych Cherniavskyi was a Ukrainian Soviet painter, member of the Union of Soviet Artists of Ukraine. Laureate of numerous Soviet awards. Born on April 20, 1924 in the city of Katerynoslav (now Dnipro, Ukraine). He studied at the Dnipropetrovsk Art School. He participated in World War II. After the end of the war, he continued his studies at the Dnipropetrovsk Art School. His teachers were M. Panin, M. Pohribniak. In 1955, he graduated from the Kyiv Art Institute. His teachers were M. Ivanov, I. Shtilman, K. Trokhymenko. From 1955 to 1964, he worked as a teacher of painting and director of the Dnipropetrovsk Art School. At the same time, he held the position of chairman of the Dnipropetrovsk organization of the Union of Artists of Ukraine. Later (1975 to 1978) he taught special disciplines at the Kyiv Art Institute. He worked in the field of easel painting, creating industrial landscapes. He participated in republic exhibitions starting in 1951, all-Union exhibitions starting in 1955, foreign exhibitions starting in 1968. Among his works are the series "Industrial Dnipropetrovsk Region" (1955 to 1970), "On the Land of Kryvyi Rih" (1965), "Manganese" (1967), "Siberia" (1968), "Volga" (1969), "After the Rain" (1971), "Above the Dnipro" (1974), and others. He died on March 31, 1981 in Kyiv. Some of the artist's works are kept in the National Art Museum of Ukraine (Kyiv), museum and private collections in Ukraine.

original. The picture is multifaceted. The 1st and 2nd plan is occupied by an image of a hilly area covered with snow. There are thawed patches visible in the center and lower right corner of the image. Behind the 2nd plan on the left there is a high hill with small one-story houses.
