Volodymyr Fedorovych Khorenko was a Ukrainian painter, member of the Union of Artists of the USSR starting in 1970. Born on November 27, 1927 in Stalino (now Donetsk, Ukraine). In 1955 he graduated from the Odesa Art School. His teachers in the specialty were Martyn-Vigdor Kordonsky, Mikhail Todorov, Abram Veksler, Leonid Muchnyk. He worked in the field of easel painting, graphics, creating landscapes, still lifes and genre paintings. Starting in 1967 he was a participant in all-Union, republic and regional exhibitions. The first personal exhibition was held in Donetsk in 1974. Among his works are sketches from the life of partisans (1944), "Embankment" (1967), "Winter Day" (1967), "Collective Farm Market" (1968), "Miner's Weekdays" (1968), "Donetsk Festive" (1981 to 1983), "Rocks in the Sea" (1991), and others. He lived and worked in Donetsk. He died in 2001. The artist's works are kept in the Donetsk Art Museum, museums of the Donetsk region, in private collections in Ukraine and abroad.

There is some minor staining at the bottom edge of the painting.

Original. Two-thirds of the landscape is taken up by a depiction of green hilly terrain. In the foreground, there is a wooden footbridge. To its right, a road runs along a fence. In the centre of the image, there is a small house. Near the horizon, a blue ridge of mountains is visible.
