Petro Stepanovych Marmanov was a Ukrainian painter. Born on December 24, 1940 in the city of Simferopol, he graduated from the M. Samokysh Crimean Art School (1961), where his teacher was P. Skorubskyi. From 1967, Marmanov was an active participant in regional, republic and all-Union exhibitions. He was a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR (1971). His main works include "Generous Autumn" (1967), "Nameless" (1970), and "Under the Southern Sun" (1990). His works are kept in state and private collections of Ukraine and abroad. He died in 2024.

In the foreground, on the left, there is a cart drawn by two horses, with boxes of apples on the cart. Next to the cart there is a man with a box of apples in his hands. On the right threre is a child standing near the boxes with an apple raised to his mouth, and there is an elderly woman pouring apples from a basket into a box. In the background there is a garden with working women.
