Maryna Mykhailivna Derehus was a Soviet Ukrainian painter and graphic artist, and a member of the Union of Artists of the Ukrainian SSR. She was born on April 2, 1929 in Kharkiv and graduated from the Kharkiv State Art School (1945-1950), where her teachers were Ye. Yakovenko and B. Vaks. A master of lyrical landscape and still life, Derehus was a wonderful colorist. She worked in the field of easel graphics and easel painting. She was a participant in republic, all-Union and international exhibitions starting in 1957. Her main works include the painting "Wind" (1957), "Moonlit Night" (1960), "Spring" (1965); graphics "Twilight" (1961), "Flowers and Fruits" (1978), and others. Her works are kept in museums and private collections in Ukraine and abroad. Derehus died on April 4, 1995 in Kharkiv.
