Halyna Oleksandrivna Neledva was a Ukrainian artist, member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine from 1963, and Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR from 1989. Born on January 3, 1938 in Dnipropetrovsk (now Dnipro, Ukraine). she graduated in 1957 from the Taras Shevchenko Kyiv Art School. From 1957 to 1961, she studied at the Faculty of Painting of the Kyiv Art Institute. Her teachers in the specialty were Karpo Trokhymenko, Mykhailo Khmelko, Illia Shtilman, and Volodymyr Denysov. She worked in the field of easel painting and participated in all-Ukrainian exhibitions starting in 1961 and all-Union exhibitions starting in 1965. She participated in the Venice Biennale (1982, 1984). Among her works are "Sailors Study" (1965), "My Friends" (1966), "Athletes" (1967), "Grandchildren" (1968), still lifes (1972), "Nostalgia" (1990), the series "Road to the Temple" (1990-2000), and others. Her works are in the National Art Museum of Ukraine, in regional museums and private collections in Ukraine, and abroad. She died on September 11, 2017 in Kyiv.

Original. Against the background of a seascape visible through an open window, two groups of people are depicted. One group consists of four artists sitting at a round table covered with a white tablecloth. Another group is of three artists, two of whom are playing chess. In the bottom left corner, there is the artist's signature.
