Hryhorii Dmytrovych Pryshedko was a Ukrainian painter and member of the Union of Soviet Artists of Ukraine. Born on June 9, 1927 in Dnipropetrovsk (now Dnipro, Ukraine), he graduated from the Dnipropetrovsk State Art School in 1951. His teachers were M. Panin, M. Pohribniak, and T. Drozdova. After receiving his art education, he worked in the city of Zhdaniv (now Mariupol) in the field of easel and monumental painting. Starting in 1952, Pryshedko participated in city exhibitions, then starting in 1956 - regional exhibitions, and then starting in 1960 - republic and all-Union art exhibitions. His personal exhibitions were held in Zhdaniv (1959, 1970). Among his works are "Azovstal in Winter" (1953 to 1954), "Spring on the Dnieper" (1959), "River of Dreams" (1965), "Autumn in Sedniv" (1965), "Night" (1966), "Sunny Donbas" (1969), "Fortress of the ARC" (1968, sanguine), and "Potemkinets I. Litvinenko" (1969, lithography). In collaboration with the famous monumental artist V. M. Arnautov, he created several mosaic panels in Zhdaniv. Pryshedko died in Kyiv in 1978. The artist's works were kept in the Mariupol Museum of Local Lore and in private collections in Ukraine and abroad.
