Hennadii Mykolaiovych Olempiiuk was a Ukrainian artist and member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine from 1981. Born on April 17, 1950 in Karaganda (now Kazakhstan), he graduated from the Voroshylovhrad State Art School (1970) and the Kyiv State Art Institute (1976, workshop of O. Lopukhov). He worked in the field of easel painting, in the genres of thematic painting, landscape, still life, and portrait. He was a participant of regional, republic, all-Union, and foreign art exhibitions. He lived and worked in Donetsk. His personal exhibitions were held in 1991, 1996, 1997, and 2000 (Donetsk). Among his works are "Shy Ones" (1989), "Still Life" (1993), "Legend of the Unicorn" (1993), "Farewell", "Dry Tree", and others. He died on October 5, 1995. His works are in museums in Ukraine, Russia, and private collections in France, England, Austria, Holland, Israel, Germany, and the USA.
