Mykola Volodymyrovych Chernikov was a Ukrainian artist, member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine. Born on October 22, 1953 in Kyiv. In 1972 he graduated from the T.H. Shevchenko Republic Art Secondary School. From 1972 to 1978 he studied at the Kyiv State Art Institute. He worked in the field of easel painting. His work is dominated by paintings of philosophical content and landscapes. He participated in republic art exhibitions. Personal exhibition: Kyiv (1991). Among his works are "Chess in Shevchenko Park", "Old Carousel", "Contemplating Kyiv in the Evening", "Kyiv in the Evening", and others. He died on October 20, 1996 in Kyiv. The paintings are kept in art museums in Kherson and Mariupol, in private collections in Ukraine and abroad.
