Viktor Illarionovych Pavliuk was a Ukrainian graphic artist and painter and a member of the Union of Artists starting in 1980. Born on February 19, 1935 in the village of Shyrokyne (now Donetsk region, Ukraine), he graduated from the Dnipropetrovsk Art School (1958 to 1963). His teachers in the specialty were I. Syniepolskyi and H. Cherniavskyi. In the 1970s, he was the chief artist of the Zhovtnevy district of the city of Zhdaniv (now Mariupol). Pavliuk worked in the fields of easel painting and graphics, creating woodcuts, linocuts, and etchings. He created the series of graphic works "Azov Sailors", "Our Naval Commanders", "We Were Led by Youth", and others. He collaborated with newspapers and magazines ("Donbas", "Soviet Donetsk", "Priazovsky Rabochy", and others. Pavliuk participated in city, regional, and republic exhibitions. His personal exhibition was held in Mariupol in 1987. His works are in collections in Ukraine and abroad. He died on April 1, 2007 in Mariupol.
