Item description from the inventory book:
The Mother of God is depicted from the waist up, slightly turned and inclined towards the baby, whom she holds in her left hand. Her right hand is pressed to her chest. Christ is also turned towards the mother; with his right hand he blesses, in his left hand he blesses a rolled scroll. The Maforium (cloak) of the Mother of God is dull red, the chiton and cap are blue. The highlights along the folds are made of light brown paint and gold. Christ's robe is scarlet with golden highlights. The face and hands are made in pastel colors with smooth transitions of light and shadow; cheeks and lips are rosy. The halos are outlined in gold. The background below is pastel, turning into a dirty blue color. Inscriptions in white paint: MP QУ; ІС ХС; ... PRETIA BTS TIKHVINKIA. The icon is mounted in a metal frame, the walls of which form a side that rises above the icon. On the right wall there are hinges for the lid. On the top there are two protruding loops. About. Art. decorated with angular figured metal plates. Fastening with rivets.
