Ivan Fedorovych Bazelian was a Ukrainian painter. He was born on 4 July 1929 in the village of Antoniv, Vinnytsia district (now Vinnytsia region). From 1945 to 1951, he studied at the Voroshylovhrad (now Luhansk) Art College, where his teachers included M. Volshtein and O. Filbert. He began participating in exhibitions in 1958. His works focused on historical and revolutionary themes, as well as landscapes and still lifes. He became a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR in 1975. He lived and worked in Donetsk. His notable works include "Transcarpathia. Mount Petros" (1958), "City in the Morning" (1960), "Peaceful and Industrious" (1961), "Donetsk Morning" (1962), among others. His works are held in several museums in Ukraine. He died in 1999.
