Leonid Mykolaiovych Hadi was an artist, painter, and member of the Ukrainian SSR Art Union. Born in 1930 in Mariupol, he studied from 1947-1952 at the Rostov-on-Don Art School, where his teacher by profession was V.G. Len. Hadi worked in the field of easel painting, mainly in the genres of landscape, thematic painting, and portrait. He was a participant of city (since 1957), regional (since 1952), and republic (since 1961) exhibitions. He had personal exhibitions in 1959 (Zhdaniv, now Mariupol, together with L.M. Kuzminkov) and 1976 (Zhdaniv). In the last years of his life, he was seriously ill and no longer worked. Hadi's famous works include “Mariupol. Shmidt's Harbor” (1960), “Harbor. Sunken Ship” (1960), “Stones” (1970s), “Towards Spring” (1970s), “Spring” (1970s), and others. His paintings were kept in the Mariupol Museum of Local Lore, exhibited in the A.I. Kuindzhi Art Museum (Mariupol), and in private collections. He died in 1989 in Mariupol.
