Albin Stanislavovych Havdzinskyi was a Ukrainian artist, landscape painter, and master of genre painting and portrait. Born on July 4, 1923 in the village of Bobryk Pershyi, now Odesa region, he graduated from the Odesa Art School (1950). His teachers by profession were Yu. Tymofieiev, P. Parkhet, and M. Pavliuk. He worked in the field of easel painting. He was a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (1955) and a People's Artist of Ukraine (2004). Havdzinskyi participated in republic (1952), all-Union (1951), foreign (1955), and personal (from 1960) exhibitions. His main works include "Kakhovsky Port. The Beginning of Large-Scale Construction" (1951), "Construction of the Kakhovka HPP Lock" (1953), "O. Dovzhenko” (1967), “Tugboat” (1968), “Knights of Labor” (1968), “Odesa. Potemkin Stairs” (1969), “Dreamers” (1971), “March” (1971), “Odesa. Pushkinska Street” (1972), “Kyiv. Khreshchatyk” (1981), “Odesa. Opera House” (1985), “Noon” (1986), “Surgeon Yu. Mozgovy” (1990), “Gurzuf” (1991), “Niagara Falls” (1993), “Rural Workers” (1993), “On Vacation” (1994), “March” (2000), “Odesa. Deribasovskaya Street” (2001), “Storm” (2002), “Rest by the Sea” (2003), “Path” (2004), “T. Shevchenko Park” (2004), and others. His works are kept in museums in Ukraine and Russia. Havdzinskyi lived and worked in Odesa. He died on May 12, 2014.
