Mykhailo Vasylovych Antypov was a Ukrainian painter, a member of the Union of Soviet Artists of Ukraine since 1990 and of the Mariupol branch of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1995. He was born on 18 November 1944 in Mariupol. In 1969, he graduated from the Saratov Art College. His professional mentors included Volodymyr Hurov, Rifad Batarshyn, and Valentyn Uspenskyi. He worked in the field of easel painting and painted landscapes and still lifes. The artist participated in city, regional, and national exhibitions. Among his works are "Red Viburnum" (1977), "Breath of Spring" (1989), "Moonlit Valley" (1994), "Hollyhocks" (1999), and others. His works are held in museums and private collections in Ukraine. He died in 2015 in Mariupol.
