Volodymyr Ivanovych Kobets is a Ukrainian artist, painter, and member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (2010). Born on October 20, 1946 in the village of Oleksiyivka (now Donetsk region, Ukraine). He studied at Donetsk State University (1970-1975) and Kuban State University (1979-1985), where his teachers in the specialty were H. Bida and R. Serdiuk. In a realistic style, he created landscape and seascapes, still lifes, genre paintings, portraits. He participated in city and republic (since 1999) art exhibitions. His personal exhibitions were held in Donetsk (1975, 2012-2013) and Kerch (1978-1979). His main works include "In Memory of the Fallen" (1999), "Sorochyn Fair" (2005), "Zaporizhian Brothers" (2008), "Cossack Country. Anxious Evening" (2012), and others. His paintings are kept in the Dnipro Art Museum, Zaporizhzhia Art Museum, Poltava Art Museum, Ternopil Art Museum, and some other museums of Ukraine.
