Hryhorii Trokhymovych Harkusha was a Ukrainian graphic artist. Born on September 10, 1922 in the village of Vasylkivka, now Dnipropetrovsk region, he graduated from the Kyiv Art Institute (1951) and completed postgraduate studies there (1955). His teachers by profession were I. Pleshchynskyi and V. Kasiian. He worked in the field of easel and book graphics and posters. A member of the Union of Artists of the Ukrainian SSR (1956), Harkusha participated in republic (1949), all-Union (1955), and foreign (1951) exhibitions. His main works include "V. I. Lenin" (1953); the series "Collective Farm Village" (1957); illustrations and design for the "Shipbuilders" books by O. Syzonenko (1960); "Kannas" by V. Konvisar (1961), and others. His works are kept in Ukrainian museums. Harkusha lived and worked in the city of Kyiv and died on January 31, 1993.

Item description from the inventory book:
Along a bridge laid across the river using boats, Soviet soldiers run and military equipment moves. The composition is constructed along a diagonal from the lower left corner to the upper right. In the foreground a post with (crossed out) inscription: "Forward to Kyiv!"
