Mykola Mykolaiovych Prokopenko is a Ukrainian painter, graphic artist, and restorer. He is a member of the National Union of Ukrainian Artists (1988), a People's Artist of Ukraine (2015), a full member of the International Academy of Arts and Literature "Fatyan" (starting in 2011), and a Honorary Doctor of Art History of the Academy of Arts (Berlin). Born on August 17, 1945 in the village of Zeltsi (now the village of Lymanske, Odesa region, Ukraine), he graduated from the Kyiv Art Institute (1977), where his teachers were V. Boldyrev and V. Zadorozhnyi. Starting then, he worked as an artist-restorer of the Odesa Museum of Western and Eastern Art and as an artist at the monumental workshop of the Art Fund of the Art and Industrial Combine. From 2006 to 2010, he was a professor of the Department of Drawing, Painting, Composition and Architectural Graphics of the Odesa Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture, creating portraits, landscapes, still lifes, and nudes in the style of realism. Prokopenko works in an individual manner, conveying various associations. He has been a participant of regional, all-Ukrainian, all-Union, and international art exhibitions since 1977 (770 in total). His personal exhibitions have taken place in Odesa, in many cities of Ukraine, and abroad. In 2019, an art gallery in the city of Ochakiv (Mykolaiv region) was named after him. Among his works are "Portrait with a Yellow Bouquet" (1987), "Portrait-Sun" (1991), "Autumn Outside the City" (1994), "Harlequin with a Pear" ( 2007), "Odesa. Coffee on Langeron" (2013), "Bird of Childhood" (2015), "Interrupted Flight" (2024), and many others. His works are in museum and private collections in Ukraine and abroad.

To the left of the group there are figures of girls, one of whom holds a ceremonial loaf of bread on an embroidered towel. Behind them there is a combine harvester. To the right - another combine harvester. The entire background is a wheat field. Below the image on the right there is the artist’s signature. Below the image on the left - the inscription: "Priceless Wealth"
