Mykhailo Ivanovych Parkhomenko is a Ukrainian artist, graphic artist, painter, traveler, public figure. He is a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (1977) and an Honored Artist of Ukraine (2013). Born on July 31, 1950 in the city of Kramatorsk, Donetsk region (now Ukraine), he graduated in 1977 from the Ukrainian Polygraphic Institute (Lviv) with a degree in "Book Illustration". His teachers were V.L. Bunov and A.I. Popov. The main part of the artist's creative output is represented by works made in the techniques of color lithography, etching, monotype, and watercolor. Cycles of his works include "Ukraine", "War", "Odesa", "Ships and Stars", "Around Europe", "Heroes of the Donetsk Land", "India", "Australia and Oceania", "South America", and "Around Africa and the Middle East". Parkhomenko is the organizer of international, all-Ukrainian, and regional creative projects and symposiums. Over the years of his creative activity, the artist has held 70 personal exhibitions, 50 of which were abroad. More than 100 of the artist's works are in 38 art and historical museums and art galleries in Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and Turkmenistan. More than a thousand of his paintings are kept in private collections around the world.

In the center of the composition there is the figure of a young welder at the moment of welding. Above, below, left, right — everywhere are supports, piles, structures of the future workshop, which are depicted as the wings of a huge bird. At the bottom center there is the author's signature and the date: 1976. On the left - the inscription: "Blue Bird"
