Petro Petrovych Chobitko is a painter, graphic artist, teacher, member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. Born on May 15, 1946 in Kyiv. In 1965 he graduated from the T.H. Shevchenko republic Art School (Kyiv) and entered the Kyiv Art Institute. In Soviet times he worked in the field of posters, industrial graphics, and bookplates. He is also the author of numerous landscapes of Ukraine. He participated in art exhibitions starting in 1966. In 2000 he moved to St. Petersburg, worked as a teacher at the School of Folk Arts. Starting in 2007 he has taught at the Department of Graphics at the Academic Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after I.Yu. Repin (St. Petersburg). Some of his works are kept in museums in Ukraine and Russia.

In the foreground — a house with an open door, a household plot behind a picket fence, cut off by the lower edge of the sheet. To the left under a canopy — a haystack with a ladder leaning against it. In the middle ground — houses, trees, fields. Under the image in pencil there is the inscription: P. Chobitko 1969, mixed technique "Landscape in Kosmachi".
