Ivan Fedorovych Kyrylov was a Ukrainian graphic artist, Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (1982), and member of the National Union of Ukrainian Artists (1977). Born on May 9, 1936 in Sergo (now Kadiivka, Luhansk region, Ukraine), he graduated in 1967 from the Kyiv Art Institute (where he studied under I. Selivanov). From that time, he worked at the Kyiv Art Creative and Production Plant. He participated in art exhibitions starting in 1967. His main works include the graphic series "Sailors-Submarines" (1967), the graphic sheets "Burnt Villages" (1988-1991), "Hockey Players" (1973), "Girl and Ball" (1986), "Sea" (1987), "Before the Storm" (1993-1994), and many others. He died in Kyiv on August 4, 2009. Some of his works are kept in museums in Ukraine.

In the foreground there is a dark, restless sea. On its surface, against the backdrop of enormous white icebergs, there are two submarines. The image is black-and-white. On the left under the image there is an inscription made in pencil: 10\15 "On Campaign" from the series "Sailors-submarines". On the right there is the author's signature and the date: 1967.
