Pavlo Yuriiovych Bedzyr was a Ukrainian artist, painter and graphic artist. He was born on January 26, 1926 in the village of Kalyn in what is now Tyachiv district, Zakarpatskyi region. In 1946, he graduated from the painting department of the Uzhhorod School of Applied and Decorative Arts (teachers: Adalbert Erdeli, Andrii Kotska, Fedir Manailo, Ernest Kontratovych). From 1946, he participated in regional, republic, all-Union and foreign exhibitions. He was a member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1968. In 1996, he became a laureate of the Yosyp Bokshai and Adalbert Erdeli regional prize for his series of graphic works "Life of Trees". Personal exhibitions: Uzhhorod (1994), Budapest (1995). Among the works are "Evening" (1965), "Female Portrait" (1972), "Echo of the Distant Past" (1974), "Lake" (1975), and "Winter Morning" (1996). He died on July 10, 2002 in Uzhhorod. His works are kept in the National Museum of Ukraine, the Yosyp Bokshai Zakarpatskyi Regional Art Museum, as well as in many museums of Ukraine and private collections.
