Yevhen Stepanovych Soloviov was a Ukrainian graphic artist, illustrator, poster artist. Born on December 29, 1910 in Kharkiv. Graduated from the Kharkiv Art Institute (1936). His teachers by specialty were V. Kasiian, S. Hryhoriev, M. Fradkin. Worked in the field of poster, easel and book graphics. Member of the USSR Union of Artists (1950). Collaborated with publishing houses in Ukraine and Romania as an illustrator, and also collaborated with the Omsk Book Publishing House. Was the director of the Kharkiv State Museum of Fine Arts (1952 to 1959). His main works include poster "Let's Help" (1951), illustrations for I. Franko's book "When the Beasts Were Still Talking" (1956, co-authored with L. Dzholos), series "His Majesty the Working Class" (1960), "Katerina" (1961 to 1964). He participated in exhibitions: republic (1949), all-Union (1951), foreign (1963). His works are kept in museums and private collections in Ukraine and Russia. He died on November 12, 1972.
