Yurii Heorhiiovych Syrotenko was a Ukrainian graphic artist. Born on January 18, 1924 in the city of Sumy. In 1952 he graduated from the Kharkiv Art Institute. His teachers were O. Kokel, P. Kotov. He worked in the field of easel painting and graphics. Member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine starting in 1961. He participated in republic exhibitions starting in 1957, all-Union exhibitions starting in 1955. Among his works there are the series "Kharkiv Tractor Plant" (1956), a series of color lithographs based on Taras Shevchenko's poem "Gaydamaky" (1961 to 1964), "From the Patriotic War" (1965), "Into a New Life" (1967), "The Proprietors" (1969 to 1971). He lived and worked in Kharkiv. He died in 2010.
