Oleksandr Hryhorovych Bondarenko is a Ukrainian artist, a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1988, and one of the founders of the association of avant-garde artists "Mariupol-87". Born on December 10, 1949 in the city of Zhdaniv (now Mariupol, Donetsk region), in 1969 he graduated from the M. Grekov Rostov Art School, where he studied under P. Chornykh, A. Rezvan, and V. Reznichenko. From 1969-1987, he worked as an artist at the Donetsk Art and Production Plant, and since 1988 he pursued creative work. His works lie in the field of easel painting, graphics, design. He has participated in republic (since 1973), all-Union (since 1987) and foreign exhibitions. He is a representative of the Mariupol association of artists "KharBarBond" (Volodymyr Kharakoz, Serhiy Barannyk, Oleksandr Bondarenko). Bondarenko was one of the initiators of the first exhibition of abstract painting in Kyiv (2015) in the history of the National Union of Ukrainian Artists' Union of Ukraine. Among his works are "Outskirts" (1973), "Motherhood" (1989), the series "Sublimation of the Triangle" (2002), and others. The artist's works are kept in museums and private collections in Ukraine, the USA, Israel, Bulgaria, Italy, Germany, France, Greece.
