Viktor Ivanovych Lapin was a Soviet Ukrainian painter. He was born on October 14, 1923 in the village of Zolotarivka, Okhtyrka (Trostyanets) district, Sumy region. He graduated from the Kharkiv Art Institute (1954), where his teachers by profession were H. Tomenko and P. Kotov. Lapin worked in the field of easel painting and graphics and was a member of the Union of Artists of the Ukrainian SSR (1974). His main works include "After the Flight" (1958), "Among Friends" (1963-1964), "Pilot-athlete V. Tursunkhodzhaev" (1965), "After the Assault" (1969), and others. He participated in exhibitions: republic since 1955, all-Union since 1958, foreign since 1956. He lived and worked in Mykolaiv. He died on April 23, 1984.
