Yevhen Pavlovych Yehorov is a Ukrainian Soviet artist. Born on May 17, 1917 in Krasnyi Lyman (Donetsk region), he graduated from the Kharkiv Art School (1939) and the Kharkiv Art Institute (1949), where he studied under O. Kokel and D. Shavikin. Since 1949, he has participated republic, all-Union, and foreign exhibitions. Starting in 1949, he was a teacher at the Kharkiv Art and Industrial Institute, and from 1972-1985 he was the rector. He worked in the field of easel and monumental painting and easel graphics. His main works are the paintings "In the Days of Great Victories" (1949), "Youth" (1952), a portrait of the artist V.F. Mironenko (1954), a series of drawings "Across France" (1961-1962), the coat of arms of Kharkiv (1968), and others. He lived and worked in Kharkiv and died on May 4, 2005.
