Petro Ivanovych Vanieiev was a Russian and Soviet graphic artist. Born in 1911 in the village of Gromki, Kamyshinsky District, Saratov Region, he studied at the Rostov Art School (until 1927) and the I. Repin Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture (1938-1941, 1945-1948). His teachers included P. Shyllinhovskyi, K. Rudakov, V. Konashevych, and I. Bilibin. He worked in various techniques: etching, lithography, linocut, and xylography. Starting in 1933, he participated in art exhibitions. From 1949, he was a member of the Union of Artists. Vanieiev's main works include “Blasthouse at Night. Kuzbass" (1953), "Elbrus at Sunrise" (1954), and "Construction of a Double-Decker Metro Bridge in Moscow" (1961). His works are kept in state museums of Russia and Ukraine, as well as in private collections. He died in 1995.
