Vira Fedorivna Matiukh was a Soviet graphic artist. Born on August 20, 1910 in Berlin, she moved to the USSR in 1923 to live with her parents in Kharkiv. In 1926-1930, she studied at the Kharkiv Art Institute at the Faculty of Graphics (in the workshop of the constructivist artist V. Yermilov). In 1931, she moved to Leningrad, where she spent her entire creative life. Matiukh collaborated with various publishing houses, illustrated books, and worked in the magazines "Chyzh" and "Hedgehog". She worked in the Experimental Lithographic Workshop under the direction of G. Vereysky and E. Kruglikova. A member of the Union of Artists from 1943, she participated in city, all-Union and international exhibitions starting in 1936. She also participated in the group exhibitions of the Apollo Society (1993, 1995, 1997). Her works are in museum and private collections in Russia and abroad. She died on March 9, 2003 in St. Petersburg.
