Oleh Oleksiiovych Pochtennyi was a Russian graphic artist and a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. Born on July 1, 1927 in Leningrad (now St. Petersburg, Russia), he graduated from the secondary art school at the All-Russian Academy of Arts, then worked as a printer in an etching workshop in Leningrad. In 1954, he became a member of the Union of Artists of the RSFSR. Pochtennyi was a master of etchings, linocuts, and xylographs. He worked in the genres of landscape and still life. A significant number of his works are dedicated to Leningrad. His main works include "Pushkin Park", "White Night", "Winter Gutter", "Leningrad. The Bronze Horseman", "Nikolai Gogol", and others. He died in 1997. Some of his works are kept in art and local history museums in the post-Soviet space.
